Heirlooms make beautiful memories stay alive, and keeping them alive in a painting is sometimes the most practical. This copper tea kettle and Blue Willow teacup belonged to my Grandmother Amelia. She was my red-headed German grandmother, who patiently taught me to draw on any kind of paper she had on hand. Her memory makes me smile, as does this painting!
